A Word From Renita
For years, I searched for where I belonged, trying to understand my place within my family while carrying questions I didn’t have the words to ask. Through heartbreak, healing, and God’s unwavering grace, I learned that love isn’t always perfect, but it is always worth pursuing. I discovered that forgiveness brings freedom, family is a gift to be cherished, and my true identity was never found in the approval of others—it was found in Christ. My journey has taught me that when we place God at the center of our lives, He has a beautiful way of restoring what once felt broken and giving purpose to every chapter of our story.

“Renita writes like she’s sitting across the table with a warm cup of tea and the Word open.”

While reading Renita’s book, it opened my eyes a lot because what she had went through during her childhood years. Seeing the true and real definition of “I don’t look like what I have been through” is a testimony that’s mind blowing. I highly recommend reading this book. It was hard to put down once I started reading. It was a gentle reminder for me to have faith regardless of what may be going on in life. Continue to write your story my beautiful sister in Christ

This book is a powerful, heartfelt testimony of pain, perseverance, and purpose. From the very beginning, I was drawn into the author’s journey as she shared the heartbreaking experience of losing her mother at such a young age. The way she describes being an innocent child, not fully understanding what death meant until it settled into her heart that her mother was never coming back, is deeply moving and emotionally authentic. It captures the confusion, grief, and loneliness that many children experience but often struggle to express. What makes this story especially impactful is the transformation. The author courageously shares the struggles of growing up without knowing her true identity, enduring bullying, rejection, and insecurity. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her, she chose to rise above them. Watching her journey from brokenness to confidence is inspiring and gives hope to anyone who has ever questioned their worth or felt like they didn’t belong. This is more than a story about loss—it’s a story about discovering identity, healing, and overcoming adversity. The author reminds readers that our past does not determine our future and that our greatest struggles can become the foundation of our greatest victories. By the end of the book, it is evident that she has embraced who she is with strength, courage, and purpose. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has experienced grief, bullying, rejection, or an identity crisis. It is honest, encouraging, and uplifting. It will leave readers believing that healing is possible, identity can be restored, and there is hope beyond life’s deepest wounds. This is a story that deserves to be read and shared.
